The rigging that happened in this election can't be proven in court, Says Jubilee SGJeremiah Kioni
NAIROBI, KENYA, AUGUST 20- Jubilee secretary general now says the rigging that happened in this year's elections will be difficult to challenge and prove in a court of law.
Addressing the media , Kioni said that there is need for the country to know what exactly transpired.
‘’We have no country if we do not address the massive rigging that we experienced, rigging that might be difficult for the members of the county Assembly and Members of the Parliament who lost to prove in a court of law but it’s in the public domain that something went wrong and it was a scheme that was worked on with the IEBC’’ he stated.
He further slammed the Anglican church leader’s speech during the release of the presidential results indicating that some of the words he uttered were questionable.
‘’ When the leader of the Anglican church said that we thank God because we have now gotten our nation back, you wonder what does that mean, where was the nation, with the devil? I mean it’s a statement that you will have to explain, and it's really worrying for us coming from a head of a church.’’ Kioni said.
He called for peace as the nation awaits the ruling of the supreme court.
